Submit the Re-Enrollment Form between 8:00 a.m. February 15 and 4:00 p.m. on the last day of March.
Students approved and enrolled in Yellow Springs Schools through open enrollment may continue in the District through all grades without reapplying so long as they indicate in writing their intent to remain enrolled on or before the last day of March for the current school year. If a Re-Enrollment Form is not provided on or before the last day of March for the current school year, families will have to apply as a new family.
New Families
New families can apply online, here, beginning at 8:00 a.m. on April 1. Applications must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on October 15.
Paper applications are available at the school buildings and the Yellow Springs Schools Board of Education office at 888 Dayton St., Suite 106 (Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.).
Notice of Approval and Acceptance of Offer
Notice of approval will begin on May 1. Parents/guardians are required to submit a Letter of Acceptance within one week (7 days) of notice of acceptance. If this letter is not submitted, the acceptance will be considered declined and parents/guardians must re-submit an open enrollment application to begin the process again.

Enrollment priority shall be given to resident native students. Such students may not be refused attendance in the District, regardless of capacity. Resident native students also include those as defined by R.C. 3313.64.

To the extent possible, siblings of current open enrollment students will be given preference provided enrollment procedures are met.
Children of Employees
To the extent possible, children of employees will be given preference after siblings of open-enrollment students, provided enrollment procedures are met.
Other
Any applications not fitting the above priority classifications will be considered in the order in which they are received.
Waitlist
If a grade level is full, applicants will be placed on a waiting list following the outlined priority order listed above.
