Tech Info
The ubiquitous nature of technology makes it essential to integrate into our educational delivery model as we prepare our students to become future-ready, forward-thinking and fearless thinkers.
Yellow Springs Schools is a 1:1 district, meaning that we offer Chromebooks to all students in grades Kindergarten through 12 to access the district’s curriculum resources. Commitment to a 1:1 model allows us to actualize our mission to “create a challenging educational environment where each student contributes to the intellectual and cultural richness of the community and is provided the skills and knowledge to become a socially responsible self-directed, life-long learner.”
Yellow Springs Schools is proud to be a Google Apps for Education (GAFE) district and partner with Miami Valley Educational Computer Association (MVECA). Students are given the opportunity to learn popular cloud-based systems in school, and Google apps are available to integrate technology in the classroom to support student engagement. Our goal is prompt and accurate solutions to network and software concerns as the needs of the district change to ensure student/faculty productivity and technology growth.
At Yellow Springs Schools, we believe that access to the internet is a basic civil right. We are committed to ensuring that all students have access to the tools they need to receive an unparalleled education. We have worked with the Village of Yellow Springs and Miami Township to increase public Wi-Fi access within our boundaries.
Staff, and students who need assistance with technology questions should submit a Help Desk Request
