Remote Learning Next Week + Asynchronous Day & No SCOL on Friday, Feb. 19, 2021

Fearless Thinkers

Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021

Good afternoon, YS Families!

Yellow Springs Schools is participating in the Greene County Educator Vaccination Clinic in order for our interested staff members—just over 93%—to be vaccinated.

I have been informed that our date for staff vaccinations will be during the day next Friday, February 19th. In order to accommodate staff vaccinations, we will not have Safe Centers for Online Learning (SCOL) and all classes will be completely asynchronous next Friday the 19th of February.

We understand this will be inconvenient for some families and appreciate your understanding and support as we strive to keep our students, staff, and community safe.

Additionally, as indicated by the data posted on our website, ysschools.org, we will continue with 100% virtual instruction next week, 2/16/2021-2/19/2021. Safe Centers and Wednesday activities will continue. Please also note that there will be no school on Monday, February 15th in observance of President’s Day.

Please continue to look for future communication about our hybrid, in-person return beginning on Monday, March 1st.

As always, please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Dr. Terri L. Holden
Superintendent
