FILMING FOR ROYALS IS CANCELLED FOR JANUARY 20th. Filming will occur January 21st instead, weather permitting—details will be posted on student extra call times by 6:00 pm this evening.

JANUARY 20th: due to weather, the student movie extras call for ROYALS is now arrive at 11 am for all students with filming wrapping at 5:15 pm. There will be another weather check at 8 am—please check back then to make sure things are still scheduled before leaving for school.

The 2nd HS blood drive of the school year is tomorrow 10:00-2:00. Students donating should eat dinner and breakfast, and drink a lot of water. If they are 16, they will not be able to donate without their signed permission slip. Questions? Email ehurwitz@ysschools.org

We are currently holding a food drive. We are collecting canned goods, dry goods, boxed food, dish soap, and toiletries. They can be dropped off in either main office.

Both of these amazing groups of young artists have been asked to bring their shows to the OHEDTA State Conference in Akron, March 2019. ROMEO AND JULIET will present a 45 minute cutting and GIRLS LIKE THAT will be presented in its entirety. So proud of these students and their commitment to telling all the stories which affect their lives and their communities.

THE BULLDOG THEATER FESTIVAL DATES HAVE CHANGED!
Due to an unusual storm of personal and artistic events, the Bulldog Theater Festival will move its opening out one week. In addition, each show will run *one weekend only.* The new dates are:
GIRLS LIKE THAT: November 2,3 at 8 pm and November 4 at 2 pm.
ROMEO AND JULIET: November 9, 10 at 8 pm and November 11 at 2 pm.

Attention 7th Grade Parents/Guardians: Don’t forget about our Into The Wild Parent Meeting this Wednesday, September 12th at 6pm in Rooms 106/107. The 9th grade Study Skills class kicked off their PBL project for the year, the YSHS Career Seminars. They attended a mock 10-year high school class reunion to get them thinking of what kinds of things they would like to accomplish in the next 14 years. They had fun mingling and telling their classmates all about it, followed by refreshments, of course.

McKinney 7th Graders: Make sure you prepare physically and mentally for our training ride tomorrow afternoon. It will be hot! Dress appropriately! Bring your bike, water bottle, and helmet ready to ride!
