Yellow Springs Schools has tapped another veteran educator of the District to join its leadership team.  On Thursday, May 9, the Board of Education hired Mr. Cameron McCoy as the next Assistant Principal and PBL Foundations teacher of McKinney Middle School/Yellow Springs High School.  

Mr. McCoy has served in the position on an interim basis during the 2018-2019 school year, and will to formally take on the role beginning in the 2019-2020 school year.

“Throughout the interview process Cameron demonstrated the knowledge, experience, and skill set needed to most effectively fill the position,” said Mr. Jack Hatert, Principal of McKinney Middle School/Yellow Springs High School. “As an educator, he is dedicated to his students and to the values of Yellow Springs Schools and will provide exceptional leadership for McKinney Middle School and Yellow Springs High School.”

Previously, Mr. McCoy taught social studies at McKinney Middle School from 2012 to 2018. Prior to joining YS Schools, he taught in Columbus City Schools and at a charter school.
